Tromping through brush,
Gathering speed,
We were alive,
We were so free.

Our innocence pure,
We longed for the day,
To find out the answers,
To figure our way.

But when the time came,
To each make our choice,

I had no voice.

I sat by myself,
Alone and afraid,
Who could i trust,
I felt so betrayed.
